It has been six months since Edward Cullen fought and destroyed James in Phoenix, Arizona. He had made it in time to save Bella from becoming the tracker's meal, but not in time to save the one thing he wanted desperately to preserve-her mortality. It was too late to stop the venom's spread. Bella Swan was changed into a vampire.
But she hasn't been the only one changing. Strange things are happening in Forks. Michael Newton and Eric Yorkie have disappeared. Angela Weber had also disappeared for a short time, after her family died on a hiking trip-deaths attributed to a wild animal attack by authorities. When she reappeared, she was adopted into the Cullen clan for one main reason, aside from being Bella's friend-she had been changed into a vampire.
But Angela brought chilling news with her. Eric and Mike had been transformed into vampires as well, by Victoria. And she isn't stopping there. She is building an army of newborns, with as many of Bella's friends and classmates as she can gather, as well as the youth of Seattle.
Things aren't going well in La Push either. With Victoria loose and killing, but no leads on what vampire is doing it, the newly formed werewolf pack is beginning to suspect the Cullens. Bella's former friend, Jacob Black, is especially conflicted, when he learns that Bella has become a vampire, and the pack is focused on her in particular.
While Bella is now able to live forever with the one she loves, will she be able to face the idea of fighting the people she once called her friends?
