Jane Sevizia Cattivo, held her hood in place as she left the Volturi Castle. Things were looking better for the Vampire World, as far as she knew, and she was in need of a bit of fresh air. It was night time, and many of the civilians were locked in their houses, as they settled into bed, and... preformed other nightly activities. It had been a while, since Jane had enjoyed the crisp night air. Usually she was inside the castle, overseeing punishments of Vampires who broke the law. If Jane had a heart, she'd feel sorry for those poor people. But her heart stopped beating when her mother turned her and her brother into the council back in Ipswitch. Sure she went mad in her final days, but that did not mean Jane had to forgive her for sentencing her only children to burn at the stake for crimes they did not commit. From the moment the council came for her and her twin brother, Jane died. She had already died before they tied her and her brother to the wood that would soon be lit with fire. Jane's hands clenched into fists as she remembered that day.
Jane and Alec had been minding their own business, playing in a field of flowers, enjoying life. Until their heard their mother shout, "They're witches!" Those two words sealed their fate. Jane and Alec were taken to the town center, and tied to the stake, as the civilians got fire ready. Jane was ready to cry. However hooded figures saved them and wiped out the town. Then turned the twins into Vampires. Jane found out she had a power, the power to inflict pain on others. It matched the anger she felt towards her mother for doing that to her. Her brother's power was opposite, cancel out all senses. Jane figured he got that because he wasn't angry really. He never got angry. Jane walked over to the fountain, ignoring the happy couple she saw out of the corner of her eye. They were giggling, and holding hands, and kissing. She rolled her eyes, as she sat on the stone of the fountain. Her hand dipped into the water, it felt a bit warm to her, but then again, her skin was ice-cold, so everything felt warm to her. She let a smile dance across her lips, as the water fell out of her hand. This was one of the times that she felt like a child again. That she forgot about all the worries she had, and about her past. She felt... human. She shuddered. Human? Not likely. More like... wait... yeah, the feeling was of being human.
"Meow?" Jane heard. She looked down, and saw a gray cat. She smiled down at it, and picked it up into her arms. She looked around, and then looked down at it. It looked like it was staring. She began feeling a bit of something strange. Worry? She didn't know what to feed the cat, but she knew that she should. Blood would not be good. She set the kitten down in her lap, and let her hand move over it, gently petting it. "What can I feed you?" She asked, not really expecting an answer, but asking anyways out of a sort of habit. She stood up, and held the cat near to her, as she looked for someone to help.

You better watch out , There were always more ways to gain power, always more talents that they could possibly gain. Always vampires that needed destroying, that needed to be kept in line. Examples of those were killed immediately, if caught breaking the rules. The rules kept their world in tact, kept foolish humans from knowing. The humans were only there to sustain them, they had no right to know what truly happened in the world. But there were always things that could be fixed, sewing up some of the tiniest cracks that threatened to be a problem. Gaining only the best of talents, the ones what provided use to them. Ones that would prove how powerful they were, that would stay loyal to them no matter what. But that was what Chelsea was there for, keeping them loyal to the Volturi. Most of the best talents they had already gained, which is what had helped take over the Romanians so many centuries ago. But there were always more ways to gain power. Some ways were simple, some were complex. But they did both, as they always just wanted more and more power. As much as they could get.
Placing her pure black hood over her hair, Sulpicia exited the castle through one of the many exits. The night was quiet and peaceful, a crescent moon hanging in the air to give of light. There were few chirps of crickets, and few footsteps at the time of night. Most humans were in there homes, doing what humans did at this time of night. Some were still scattered across the streets, whether they were drunk of the beautiful vampire did not bother to look around or listen for. Most humans were just annoying and bothersome. She tugged gently at her hood, pulling it farther over her head to cover her dark crimson eyes. In a few days she would need to feed, and in a few days Heidi or who ever had been sent out to catch some humans would return. She had vast experience with self contrl though, and would be just fine for a while. It was not a big deal, now that she was older and used to having longer and longer time gaps between meals. Her dark eyes glanced around the near empty streets of Volterra, before resting on another vampire. She could tell it was Jane by the child-like voice and her scent. Jane was a powerful addition to the guard, one of the few members she actually liked some what.
Disappearing into one of the alleys for a moment, Sulpicia grabbed a rat for the cat. If the cat was truly hungry, it would just eat it and be grateful. She walked over silently and gracefully, almost ghost-like, but she was slow so that she would appear human. "Taking a sudden interest in cats, are we?" She stated calmly, tossing the filthy rat onto the ground for the cat. She spared the thin, gray cat a single glance before resting her eyes upon the guard member before her. She did not feel sympathy for the cat, though, as she looked away from it. Perhaps it was cute to human eyes, but it was just a silly mammal to her. A mortal animal that would die within a couple of years. "I'm surprised to see you out on the streets, dear. May I ask why you are out?" She spoke calmly and patiently, expecting an answer fully. She was higher up then her, as she was actually a part of the Volturi coven. But she did like Jane, so if she had no reason for being out and about around Volterra she'd believe her completely.

Jane's lip curled in slight annoyance, as she spotted Sulpicia. Jane only tolerated her for Aro. Sulpicia tended to get on Jane's nerves, sometimes. "Taking a sudden interest in cats, are we?" She asked, calmly. Jane saw her toss a rat towards her. The cat looked up at Jane, who looked back, and set the kitten down on the ground near it. She watched as it, inched towards the rodent, then began devouring it. Jane watched for a moment, before hearing Sulpicia speak again. "I'm surprised to see you out on the streets, dear. May I ask why you are out?" Jane looked at her. "I figured, that since things were getting quieter, I might go for a walk." Her eyes flashed her defiance. She didn't like adults. She had every right to be angry with anyone older than her, considering her past. Jane knelt down to the cat, as it finished it's meal. She gently pet it, and listened to it purr. She blinked a few times as it rubbed against her.
Jane wasn't used to having anyone showing her any kind of kindness, such as the kitten was doing. She looked up at Sulpicia. "And you? What brings you out here to mingle with these..." She lowered her voice. "Humans?" She asked. She unconsiously continued petting the young cat. Hm, a name for it. Luna. The coloring of the kitten reminded Jane of a foggy night. And Luna was Latin for moon. "Luna..." She said softly, under her breath. Testing how the name sounded with the cat. Luna looked up at her and meow'd at her. Jane smiled a bit, then picked the cat up into her arms, then looked at Sulpicia. "Do you think Aro will let me keep her?" She asked, in a childlike voice. She fell in love with the small kitten, and wanted to keep it. She didn't really care what Caius or Marcus thought about her keeping it. Aro was the leader, he made all the decisions, at least in Jane's mind he did. Jane looked down at the cat, as it rubbed it's head against her chin. She almost giggled, but remembered Sulpicia being there. Childlike tendancies showed weakness. And this was as far as she was going to go with the 'weakness showing'.

You better watch out , That was a perfectly good reason, Sulpicia would believe it this time. That did not guarantee she would again. She was a very demanding person, and always would expect another reason, unless you were Aro. That was a completely different story, as she would let her husband do what he want when he wanted. He was higher up than her, as people saw it, as the wives tended just to stay in the towers. They rarely left Volterra, unless on their own free will they would occasionally. But she had no reason to leave here, it was her home. "I would not mingle with such humans, they are only here to sustain us. When you've been staying in the same room for the past few centuries, you tend to want to leave." She explained calmly, as those were her reasons. She did not like staying in the towers all of the time, it was bothersome and even rather boring at times. It was nice to be able to leave the towers, without having many guards around her as well. She could defend herself just fine if she needed to. She had watched others fight, and she learned rather quickly with those types of things. Plus, if necessary, she was quick and agile.
When Jane had said Luna, Sulpicia had had no idea what she was talking about until the young cat meowed. The name seemed rather appropriate - as the gray kitten had been found underneath the moon light. The name was a pretty name as well, that she would admit. There were many names that could probably fit the kitten, but she would not bother to think of them. Aro letting her keep the cat she was rather doubtful of, truly, but why get the girl's hopes down? There was a possibility of the cat being kept, but she was being a bit pessimistic about it in her mind. "Why, of course there is a chance of it. But I'm certainly surprised it's not absolutely terrified of us, most animals have a tendency to stay away from us as their natural instincts." The cat was cute, yes, but she wasn't going to let anyone else know that. She wouldn't mind if the girl kept the cat, as long as it did not do anything to bother her. If it kept out of her room, and didn't leave it's 'business' everywhere she'd be fine with it.

"I would not mingle with such humans, they are only here to sustain us. When you've been staying in the same room for the past few centuries, you tend to want to leave." Jane nodded in understanding. She was glad she got to move around a lot, but because Sulpicia was one of the wives, Aro's wife to be exact, she had to be sheltered. Jane was glad she stopped aging at twelve. She had to move around, or she went nuts! Staying in one place was not good for sanity levels. She was slightly glad that Sulpicia was not given the power Jane had, because Jane would gladly inflict pain on someone that kept her from going anywhere. She just... couldn't sit still. She suspected it to be a trait from her human life. A childish antic that had yet to leave. She pushed a few strands of hair out of her face, as she thought about how she would feel if she were locked in a tower. Ick, the thought made her shudder. Too creepy, and fairytale, for her liking.
"Why, of course there is a chance of it. But I'm certainly surprised it's not absolutely terrified of us, most animals have a tendency to stay away from us as their natural instincts." Jane nodded. Though the kitten seemed fine. And she knew that no one would dare attack something that Jane deemed as her's. Well, unless they had a death wish that is. She watched the cat as it jumped out of her arms and scampered off. "Well that was rude... I feel used." She said. Damn that cat! It was bringing out her good nature. Jane's eyes shifted to Sulpicia. "I think I am going to go inside." She said, her eyes daring the woman to say anything about Jane's 'joke'. Her feet began moving, taking her towards the castle, while her eyes looked around for the lost kitten, hoping it would be safe. Wait? She stopped. Was she just feeling concern for a creature? A creature that was not her brother, or Aro? She shook off the feeling, and continued walking.

You better watch out , The nature of the kitten scampering off once it had gotten it's food was more of one that Sulpicia had expected from it. Cats were rather decieving, they are able to act perfectly cute and innocent but most were truly evil. Not nearly as evil or destructive as vampires were, but evil none the less. As evil as mammals like such cuold get. It would have been so easily, so simple to go after it and once out of human sight get it in half a second. She was almost surprised that Jane did not do this, as it would have been simple and easy to do. It was likely that the cat would be annoyed with it, though, but it's claws would do nothing to her except probably hurt the cat itself. So, the whole idea would end up pointless as the cat would be unhappy and not like Jane. Which would mean it was most likely that she would be pleased with the cat and get rid of it herself. So the whole idea would be wasted, unless the cat was strangely okay with it. Which would not make much sense in her mind.
The look that Jane gave her, just tempting her to say something, made her say oh so many things in her mind! It was likely that she could hold this over her, if it were not for the fact that Jane's power was very useful, and very effective to get things her way. It was a shame she didn't absolutely hate her as well! She could have had so much fun with it, it would have been delightful. A slight smirk fell upon her face at the cruel thought of being able to hold it over her. She was higher up than Jane in the vampire world, the second most important thing to the most important vampire in their world. She knew that power was more important than Aro, and that if the choice came she would be disposed of. Of course, it was completely unlikely that the choice would have to be made. Whatever reason would that come up? There was no true logical reason for it to come up, which is why she was sure that it never would. Well, she at least hoped that it never would have to come up.
